A total of 169 women’s football teams participated in the qualifying round. By the time they reach Australia and New Zealand, only 32 teams will remain in the 2023 Women’s World Cup.

Australia will use six stadiums and New Zealand will use four. Auckland’s Eden Park will host the opener and Sydney’s Australia Stadium will host the 2023 Women’s World Cup final.
The average seating capacity is 39,700 seats. Players and officials need to fly back and forth between host cities for every game. The Australian Stadium will only be used in the knockout stages of the Championship. It will host a round of 16 match, a quarter-final, a semi-final and the World Cup final.
Eden Park in Auckland will host nine games. In the 2023 Women’s World Cup, there will be 5 group matches, 1 round of 16, 1 quarter-final and 1 semi-final. Lang Park, Brisbane and Wellington regional stadiums will also host 9 games throughout the tournament. Team headquarters

During next year’s Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand, participating countries will use dedicated base camps for the first time. The FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 team base options are curated by FIFA and will be available to participating teams.
56 team base camps were shortlisted. They must be a “home away from home” during preparation and competition. Each location includes a soccer field and accommodation. After each country chooses its preferences, FIFA will make a final decision by the end of 2022.
