Semester 2 Calendar
Dr. Yuan is currently an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Clinical and Administrative Department of the American University of Health Sciences School of Pharmacy. Dr. Yuan has extensive experience in pharmaceutical practice and pharmaceutical consultation in psychiatric hospitals and retail pharmacies, specializing in clinical psychiatry and psychopharmacology for adolescents and adults.
As an experienced clinical pharmacist, Dr. Yuan has worked as a pharmacy manager and clinical pharmacist in an inpatient psychiatric hospital for over 11 years. Before working as a clinical pharmacist in a hospital setting, she also had many years of experience in retail pharmacies as a pharmacist and pharmacy manager. Dr. Yuan taught Pharmacy Technician Students, Pharm.D. pharmacy students and residents of several schools of pharmacy for more than 13 years.
Dr. Yuan has extensive experience in pharmacy management, both in the acute care psychiatric hospital and in retail. She is well versed in performance management, developing clinical protocols, developing policies and procedures, implementing best practices, and developing pharmacy students/residents.

Bio- Dr. Fazelbhoy received his Doctor of Pharmacy from Western University of Health Sciences and his Master of Science from the Medical College of Virginia. He is a Licensed Pharmacist in the State of California and is also licensed as an Advanced Practice Pharmacist. He is board certified in pharmacotherapy and currently works as a clinical pharmacist at Aurora Charter Oak Hospital in Covina, CA. He is also AAHIVP certified and has worked in HIV medicine in San Francisco and Los Angeles.
Dr. Han brings to the School of Pharmacy more than 10 years of experience in community practice, pharmacy management and drug therapy management. Prior to joining, Dr. Han was in the practice of pharmacy and worked closely with independent pharmacies and physicians to develop medication management and regulatory compliance procedures. She managed several pharmacies and trained many pharmacy interns and pharmacists who became successful pharmacy managers. Dr. Han has been actively involved in educating seniors about medication adherence, chronic disease and Medicare Part D prescription drug benefits. She also provides medication management at various senior living facilities. Dr. Han is currently a member of the California Korean American Pharmacist Association.

Dr. Hussain earned his Ph.D. in Pharmacy from the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Amarillo, TX, and his B.S. in Pharmacy from Kakatiya University in India. Prior to joining , Dr. Hussain worked as an assistant professor of pharmaceutical sciences at the universities of Louisiana and Oklahoma. He has taught both professional pharmacy and graduate students a variety of courses including but not limited to pharmacy, compounding pharmacy, pharmacokinetics, physical pharmacy, advanced drug administration and targeting, pharmaceuticals, pharmaceutical technology, medical microbiology and biotechnology. He also supervised several M.S. and Ph.D. students throughout their career.
Dr. Hussain’s research interests primarily focus on the area of protein and peptide delivery by inhalation. He is currently researching ways to enhance drug absorption through non-invasive pathways in laboratory animals and to understand macromolecular drug transport mechanisms in vitro. Dr. Hussain is also passionate about student learning and implementing new methods of teaching and learning in the classroom and laboratory. He is actively pursuing the field of teaching and learning scholarship after joining in 2020.
