Utah State University Calendar 2023 23 – The University of Utah will return to private classes, student events, and full vacations in the fall.
The vast majority of lessons are held individually. Student services will return to normal staffing levels. Most practices and business trips will continue. Student clubs can meet within health and safety regulations. The Fall 2021 semester schedule will be announced on March 29, and registration will begin on April 12.

School Board Approves 2022 2023 School Calendar
Academic scholarships are based on unweighted GPA and ACT/SAT scores. For the ACT, use your composite test score (no writing section). Add your Critical Reading and Math scores for the SAT. The information provided is not an official recommendation, please contact your representative for more information.
The ACT/SAT does not include a writing section. An unweighted GPA is calculated on a 4.0 scale. A weighted GPA above 4.0 will count toward acceptance and scholarships.
The best way to pay for school is to not pay for school. The scholarships listed below are provided by the Admissions Office. If a scholarship has specific requirements or information about awards, click the link to learn more. Please note that international students are not eligible for all scholarships listed. Ascent Academies Of Utah
Freshmen who cannot or do not choose to take the ACT/SAT may require individual comprehensive scholarship consideration in order to receive an academic scholarship. Grade point average (GPA), high school course rigor, and other criteria are considered in consideration.
Students must already be accepted and apply for admission by December 1st. The extended CSW application deadline was December 15, 2022.

The Western Undergraduate Exchange (VUE) is an undergraduate program that allows non-resident students to pay 150% of resident tuition. The program is completed annually beginning in the fall semester and is scheduled for a maximum of 8 semesters. Students receiving VUE will not receive a “scholarship” or “waiver”, instead their residence code will be changed and the student will be charged VUE tuition (150% of resident tuition).

Students must be legal residents of the participating states: Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI), Guam, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oregon, Marshall Islands, South Dakota, Washington and Wyoming. The time a student is enrolled at VUE does NOT qualify for resident status for study.

The scholarship GPA requirements listed below are for students with a high school average of 24 or higher. Freshmen must meet the scholarship requirements if they have 23 or fewer high school credits before the scholarship deadline.
American Leadership Academy
Resident Alumni Scholarships are available to Utah students who have at least one parent or grandparent who graduated from Utah State University.
All students except nonimmigrant aliens who meet all of the following requirements are exempt from paying the nonresident portion of the total tuition at Utah State University. Student information provided in this affidavit is completely confidential unless disclosure is required by law.
Once you decide you are eligible for a waiver, you can continue to receive it if you meet the requirements listed below and in your acceptance letter, or the University of Utah will no longer offer this waiver. Requesting a waiver does not alter your responsibility to timely pay any nonresident tuition and related fees that may be due before your eligibility is determined. This nonresident tuition waiver is not available unless you are an accepted student at Utah State University. ALL requirements of R512.4.5 must be met.

Participation Scholarships are awarded to students who have demonstrated leadership qualities and made significant contributions to their school and community. Several scholarships are offered in varying amounts based on an individual’s success in extracurricular activities, leadership, and service. Participation Scholarship recipients have the opportunity to participate in Aggie BLUE Fall Leadership and other leadership courses, and join campus clubs and other organizations. International students are not eligible for participation scholarships.
NOTE: A separate application is now required for the Ambassador Program. Students who apply to the Ambassador Program are automatically considered for participation scholarships. Students applying to the Ambassador Program do not need to apply for a scholarship to participate.
Need-based scholarships are awarded to eligible students based on financial need. These scholarships are offered in varying amounts through the financial aid department. The application deadline for Fall 2023 is February 1, 2023 (pending available funding).

All applicants who wish to be considered must also complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at fafsa.ed.gov. If the school code is 003677, you will fill out the FAFSA.
You can accept your scholarship by paying or deferring your acceptance deposit, or by deferring your acceptance. The deadline for each scholarship offer is published and is May 1 for the summer/fall semester and December 1 for the spring semester.
If you have any improvement in your GPA or test scores before the scholarship deadline, request academic scholarship review and an admissions officer will review your application. No need to log in again!
