Dr. Yuan currently serves as an Assistant Professor in the Clinical and Administrative Department of American University’s School of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. Dr. Yuan comes with extensive pharmacy practice and pharmacy consulting experiences in psychiatric hospitals and retail pharmacies, specializing in adolescent and adult clinical psychiatry and psychopharmacology.
As an experienced Clinical Pharmacist, Dr. Yuan worked as a pharmacy manager and clinical pharmacist in a psychiatric hospital for 11 years. Before working as a clinical pharmacist in a hospital setting, he had many years of experience as a pharmacist and pharmacy manager in retail pharmacies. Dr. Yuan is a pharmacy technician student, Pharm.D. Many pharmacy students and pharmacy residents for over 13 years.
Dr. Yuan has extensive pharmacy management experience in an acute care psychiatric hospital and retail environment. He is highly skilled in performance management, clinical protocol development, policy and procedure development, implementation of best practices, and pharmacy student/resident development.

Bio-Dr. Fazelboy completed his PharmD from Western University of Health Sciences and his Master of Science from the Medical College of Virginia. He is a registered pharmacist in the state of California and is licensed as an advanced practice pharmacist. She is board certified in pharmacotherapy and currently works as a clinical pharmacist at Aurora Charter Oak Hospital in Covina, CA. He is AAHIVP certified and has worked in HIV medicine in San Francisco and Los Angeles.
Dr. Hahn brings over 10 years of community practice, pharmacy management and medication therapy management to the School of Pharmacy. Before joining, Dr. Hahn was in a pharmacy practice working closely with independent pharmacies and physicians to develop procedures for medication management and regulatory compliance. He has managed several pharmacies and taught several trainee pharmacists and pharmacists who became successful pharmacy managers. Dr. Hahn is actively involved in educating seniors about medication adherence, chronic disease states and Medicare Part D benefits. They also provide medication management at various senior facilities. Dr. Han currently serves as a member of the California Korean American Pharmacists Association.

Dr. Hussain received his Ph.D. in Pharmacy from the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Amarillo, TX and his B.S. in Pharmacy from Kakatiya University, India. Before joining, Dr. Hussain worked as an Assistant Professor of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Louisiana and the University of Oklahoma. He has taught various courses to pharmacy professionals and graduate students including pharmacy, compound pharmacy, pharmacokinetics, physical pharmacy, improved drug delivery and targeting, pharmaceutical technology, medical microbiology and biotechnology. He has several M.S. and Ph.D. students throughout their careers.
Dr. Hussain’s research interest is primarily in the area of protein inhalation and peptide drug delivery. He is currently investigating ways to improve drug absorption through non-invasive routes in experimental animals and understanding the mechanisms of macromolecular drug transport in vitro. Dr. Hussain is passionate about student learning and implementing new teaching and learning methods in the classroom and in the lab. He has been actively pursuing the arena of scholarship of teaching and learning since joining in 2020.
